Hugh Jackman said that after Logan (2017) he was really done with the role of Wolverine
Plot
Deadpool is offered a spot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the Time Variance Authority, but instead recruits a variant of Wolverine to save his universe from extinction. The Deadpool and Wolverine team up to talk about how they dealt with offensive jokes, and Emma Corrin talks about working with friendly megastars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. He then said that he regretted that statement after seeing the first Deadpool movie and expressed to Ryan his interest in seeing the two characters reunite on the big screen. When asked why he decided to return for this movie, he simply said, “I just wanted to do it and I had a feeling,” adding that he wanted to have a great time on a movie set with Ryan Reynolds. Similarly, Reynolds had wanted to work with Jackman since the first Deadpool movie and was sad when he (Jackman) passed on the role.
Deadpool: That’s right
As Wolverine and Deadpool begin their odyssey in the Honda Odyssey, the car’s clock advances three hours during their conversation. Elliot Chipman: This is Deadpool. Kevin Chipman: This is Wolverine. Fox killed him. Disney brought him back.
What a fun movie
They’re gonna let him do it until he’s 90. “Nicepool” is credited to Ryan Reynolds’ fictional twin brother, Gordon Reynolds. Edited from Thor: Svijet tame (2013). Only You (and You Alone) (re-recorded) Written by Buck Ram and Buck Ram (as Ande Rand) Performed by The Platters Courtesy of Cleopatra Records In arrangement with The Orchard. Hugh Jackman is the perfect Wolverine.
It definitely doesn’t take itself too seriously
I like the dialogue and the clever one-liners with a few F-bombs. There are a lot of fun cameos that I didn’t see coming! I usually watch spoiler videos beforehand, but this time I didn’t and I’m glad I did because there were some really cringeworthy moments! It’s a really good movie and it’s full of action. The jokes about Fox breaking down and talking to the camera are hilarious as hell.
They’re a dynamic duo
I definitely see more sequels from these two on the horizon. They’ve been doing a lot of promotion for this movie. I just saw them eating chicken wings at Hot Ones. Until your 90th Wolverine… until your 90th haha… The final season of What We Do in the Shadows is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
