Next comes Paddington (2014)
Plot
Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who is now living in a retired Bear Home. With the Brown family at the helm, an exciting adventure ensues as a mystery takes them on an unexpected journey. The director of the previous two films, Paul King, decided not to direct this part. However, he came up with the idea for this third film and acted as an executive producer. Well, Mrs.
Brown has gone in a new direction
For those who don’t know, previous incumbent Sally Hawkins said it was time to move on. I tried to warm to her, but Emily Mortimer is just an older product of the London School for Pretty Girls to me. I know the show went on, but Emily’s opening moves are annoyingly flat and uninspiring. For a few minutes I thought no!! I tried to warm to her, later in the film she progressed strangely…the least they could have done was give her a meaningful script, she seemed too much like a little wife who doesn’t say much.
Let’s be fair
Sorry Em! Ditto for Madeline Harris who plays Judy, maybe more lines for both of them next time. Maybe she tried to be Sally Hawkins at times, I’m not sure, but she had big boots to wear and Sally was a huge success. In the end, everyone did their job very well. So this time, the nice Peruvian finds himself in their initiative and comes to the aid of the family members.

A family member is in trouble and the oldest stupidity and mortal sin is the cause of all the misery. The scenery in that faraway place is stunning, downright beautiful, it inspired me to go there, as did London, which is darkly happy. There is a lot of fun in the film, action and tears too, but for very young children who are not particularly brave, the show will not be so heartwarming, sometimes scary, so I thought at times. Visually, it’s just as fantastic as the previous films, while the script is flat and a little predictable at times, the secrets unlocked were simple enough for a five-year-old to understand the… um…
Forget it if you have healthy phobias of certain creatures (not snakes)
target audience. lol ….it doesn’t take away from the CGI impact of the movie and one particularly ear-splitting one. It looks like Bonneville had a hair transplant, not sure, but as always he gives a great performance, as does Walters and some great newcomers to the story. Hey…the charming character from the last movie will appear nech' just say i don’t think it’s over.
