He’s in the cast of the wacky cartoon AniMat: Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022). Okay, as exciting as it is to get new Star Wars content these days, I always have to give it a chance, and after the first episode of Skeleton Crew, here’s what I thought was good…
An adventure movie with 80s feel Also with Disney Star Wars they are moving further and further away from their real audience, but
The Good: Looking up at the roof of the spaceship in the opening scene, just like Rebel Trooper in A New Hope A view of the suburbs from above that takes me back to early 80s Spielberg family movies Raleigh Burner style padding in Kids Speeder One about the kids in Charlie Sheen’s role in the police station scene Ferris Bueller’s Day Off General boring, normal everyday mess in the galaxy The Bad The Other is not an original idea or quick thought that hasn’t been executed better in movies like Explorers, E.T. or even Flight of the Navigator, it’s a poorly acted clone of Stranger Things, looks a bit cruel, Star Wars is mostly geared towards kids.
And isn’t that the point?
If I were 10 again, all these complaints would be meaningless. I think it’s the best thing I’ve seen in years.
