Miami, 1991. When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to channel his inner darkness as he transforms from student to vengeful serial killer under the guidance of his father Harry… 'Dexter' has the same birthday as Michael C. Hall, February 1, 1971. In episode 4, Blockbuster employee Deb and her friend meet wears a dark blue short-sleeved shirt as part of their uniform. In 1991, employees wore long-sleeved light blue shirts. Short sleeves were not worn until 4-5 years later.. Dexter: Resurrection (2025) followed. I went into this with pretty low expectations and mostly just excited about Resurrection. The beginning of the first episode was creepy with the editing and the CGI police car, and I thought “oh boy, this is going to fail”. By the end of the first episode, I was eating crow as the actors perfectly embodied their characters and the story showed immense promise. While we already know much of the backstory, the first episode had a few surprises that add depth to some of the characters we’ve come to know and love, and add some background to the decisions those characters make. Only one episode in and I’m already hooked!
