Porky Pig and Daffy Duck are Earth’s only hope when it is threatened by an alien invasion. The first Looney Tunes film to be released in theaters and was not distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film was originally intended to be available exclusively on the streaming service Max. After the company dropped out of distribution, the film was sent to other distributors, and GFM Animation eventually acquired the worldwide distribution rights. and changed the film to a theatrical release. Inside the meteorite, Daffy demonstrates his talent with levers. He pulls the lever to lower the car, then pushes it to raise it. Porky does the same later in the scene. But when Porky and Petunia are tied up, Daffy moves the lever forward and the car lowers them again. At the end of the credits, Porky Pig makes his classic statement, “That’s it, people!” only to be interrupted by Daffy Duck, who tells him that this is not the end of the movie and that they need a sequel. I really enjoyed the film. The plot is a little, well, crazy, but what else can you expect from Looney Tunes when Daffy Duck and Porky Pig work as a movie. I have to say, though, that the action was a bit over the top. Sure, we’re talking about a Looney Tunes cartoon here, specifically Daffy Duck, but still… Then the joke was a bit lacking for me. There were definitely some funny moments, but they lacked or were rare for the proper humor and wit that characterize the Looney Tunes series. However, other than that, I can recommend this film as a hand-drawn animation set in modern times. This review comes from Germany, where the film has already been released.
