The world of Cruel Intentions (1999)
Plot
After a nasty incident at their elite college, stepbrothers Caroline and Lucien set out to protect their power and reputation by seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. The direct-to-video sequel, Cruel Intentions 2 (2000), starred Amy Adams as Kathryn Merteuil, replacing Sarah Michelle Gellar as Kathryn Merteuil, in a television series that was originally scripted before being remade as a film. Gellar would later reprise her role as Kathryn in the 2016 NBC pilot Cruel Intentions (2016), which was not ordered to series.
Cruel Intentions (1999) follows
The remake is very dull and slow. It doesn’t hold a candle to the original. The guy playing Lucien doesn’t seem all that attractive, he just looks like a middle school kid.
I’m not crazy about the show, I’m just a little disappointed
I really couldn’t get past the first episode, it was so boring and the acting was so bad. I’m a huge fan of Cruel Intentions and I was looking forward to the remake, I was actually looking forward to the sequel with Sarah Michelle Gellar. You never know who’s going to be the main character development.
I don’t recommend watching this
This is not a remake I asked for. This is very bad and disappointing. It started off a little better and then went downhill for me.
