the storage facility in Quebec; five people were sentenced to prison
Plot
When Ruth Landry, a maple syrup producer, finds her livelihood under attack by greedy competitors who were once her friends, she concocts a plan to get revenge and shake up the industry. Loosely based on the theft of $18 million worth of maple syrup from 2011-2012. A collection of eccentric characters in dire situations try to manage a maple syrup heist to save their financial troubles.
He is the only guard of the entire stock of maple syrup
Ruth, whose husband is in a coma, has lost her right to sell maple syrup to the cartel run by Leonard. It seems her husband owns the rights to harvest the syrup, so she has been fined for using his rights illegally. Remy, a sort of sad character, is the guard of the warehouse where all the syrup is stored and was sneaking a barrel or two out of the warehouse at night, with a friend who suddenly dies.
The truth is quite different
Since Ruth was in financial trouble, the only way forward was to steal on a much larger scale, and she and Remy brought Mike into the scheme. Mike is presented as a powerful person who can accomplish great things. And with all the personality clashes and mix-ups, it almost becomes a caper by the Keystone Police.
So this is a fun fictional account
Every time they seem to have things under control, problems occur, and their approach to trying to solve them is a big part of the humor. A cop-out leads to a second season, so there are a lot of loose ends. And as was made abundantly clear, this is not how the actual robbery was pulled off.
And a very interesting cameo
“One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month. Check out our December calendar for more!
