In season 8, Angel Batista was not always played by David Sayas

Dexter Morgan: I’ve been living in the dark for a long time
His son, David Sayas Jr., stands in for his father in some shots, and they both look strikingly similar. Appearing throughout the first season, Dexter has a large scar on his left side. Later, in season two, the scar has moved to his right side, leaving his left side unmarked.

However, the quality of the show began to decline later
From the very beginning, I was captivated by the character of Dexter – a dark, introverted individual. Earning a commendable rating of 9/10, seasons 1 and 2 were clear in their strength of character development, bolstered by impeccable casting and a compelling, crime-filled storyline. The introduction of new characters and excessive drama weighed heavily on what was once a classic series.
However, I must emphasize that the first two seasons are a must-watch and should not be missed
Despite my love for the character, I felt a gradual decline in its charm, including Debra, but Dexter remained the centerpiece as his portrayal of dark humor was a standout. His narration throughout the episodes was a unique perspective where we learned how he perceived things, people, and crimes. It was completely captivating, but I urge viewers to choose the number of episodes to go through and enjoy at their own pace.
